Getting Started
How do I get started with DaVinChess?
Upload a PGN file of your games to build your personalized opening repertoire. Go to your dashboard and click "Upload Your First PGN" to begin.
Where can I export my games as PGN?
On Lichess: go to your profile, click the download icon. On Chess.com: go to your archive, select games, and click "Download".
What is spaced repetition training?
Spaced repetition is a learning technique where you practice your opening lines at increasing intervals. Lines you struggle with appear more often, while mastered lines appear less frequently.
Subscriptions & Billing
What plans do you offer?
We offer three tiers: Free, Pro ($9.99/month or $79.99/year), and Max ($29.99/month or $239.99/year). Free gives you a personal repertoire from your own games with daily limits; Pro unlocks every feature with generous daily caps and a 7-day free trial; Max removes all limits. You can also subscribe inside our iOS and Android apps.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to your Dashboard and click "Manage Billing" to open the Stripe Customer Portal. From there you can cancel, update payment methods, or view invoices.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Contact us at support@davinchess.com to request a refund.
Data & Privacy
How can I export my data?
Go to Account Settings and click "Download My Data". This will download a JSON file containing all your personal data including games, repertoire, and training progress.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account Settings and click "Delete My Account". Your data will be marked for deletion immediately and permanently removed after a 30-day grace period. You can cancel deletion during this period.
What cookies does DaVinChess use?
We use essential cookies for authentication (required) and optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics) that are only set if you consent via our cookie banner. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.
Troubleshooting
My PGN upload failed. What should I do?
Make sure your PGN file is under 5 MB and properly formatted. Try exporting a fresh copy from your chess platform. If the issue persists, contact us.
My training session isn't loading.
Try refreshing the page. If the problem continues, make sure you have uploaded at least one PGN file and have opening lines available for training.
